Youth Empowerment

Youth Empowerment
Elections held among youth in rural communities across six districts of Nangarhar as part of the Nangarhar Youth Agreement Initiative Program. This trial program, launched with the special initiative of the Advisor Minister and the Governor of Nangarhar, aimed to engage young people in local governance. The elections took place in Sarh Rood, Chaparhar, Achin, Momandara, and Ghani Khel districts, where one representative from each community was selected for the district council. Supported financially by the Nangarhar Governor and technically by the Tawhid Social and Development Organization, this initiative seeks to empower youth to address local issues and collaborate with security forces to maintain peace in their communities. The program was also implemented in Momandara district, and if it proves successful, it may be expanded to other areas. Local leaders, including Syed Ali Akbar Sadat, Aurang Samim, Muhammad Anu Ikram, and Syed Ahmed Ya Fatemi, have expressed strong support for the initiative and have pledged their full cooperation.
